A snowy spring day

On Saturday, March 28th we had rain, then sleet, then ice, then about 3-4 inches of snow. Jonathan and I were laughing at the forecasters b/c they had no idea what was going on - which is typical for a predicted KS snowstorm. We stayed inside most of the day, but on Sunday
Jono and Ethan went out to shovel - we thought Ethan looked like a big marshmellow!

3 Months and counting

Drew was 3 months old on Saturday. I would bet that he weighs in at about 16lbs and is a very healthy boy. As you can see, his neck is getting really strong too! His brother was enjoying entertaining him with a toy. Drew has been such a sweet and great baby - and finally he is smiling all the time. I think he laughs too, but I just think it still comes out silent.

Drew - sitting up (and with many chins)

Drew is getting so big and strong - 3 months old now!!

Ethan's 2nd Birthday Party Bash

On Saturday, March 21st we had a birthday party to celebrate Ethan's 2nd birthday. Luckily, it turned into a nice afternoon as we had almost 30 people with kiddos and adults. Ethan had many of his friends over and treated them to an afternoon of outdoor playtime with bats, balls, fribees, bean bag toss and of course - the big hit (from Mimi and Poppa) the bounce house. We decorated in "Nemo" theme - which is up there with Ratatouille and Free Willy as Ethan's favorite movies and MUCH easier to find for a party theme!

The Greco's watch as Jonathan takes a swing....

Edda and Carlo - finally the Mom gets in the picture!

Ethan tossing the bags

Happy Birthday to you......

Ethan did NOT want to come in for his cake and threw a minor tantrum, but Daddy made him come in anyway. See how red those cheeks are from running around? He was a little overwhelmed with everyone looking at him and singing but I think he was digging it at the end.

Mom lights the candles....

The bounce house - Ethan jumping in it...the kid is so in love with it!!

It was a great party, unfortunately as the hosts you are always a little too busy to enjoy it but I know Ethan had a blast and that made it worthwhile for us.

Time to start thinking about the potty?

We change a lot of diapers around here...so we bought the potty...just in case we have an early trainer. We have opted not to start any formal training yet as I am just back to work but I guess a guy can find a throne to be comfortable no matter the situation.

Drew's Baptism

Drew's Baptism was Saturday, March 6th. The godmother, my sister Courtney was visiting from Palm Springs and Brenden (Jonathan's brother) stood in for Eric.

Not sure how much he enjoyed the water, but he did not cry that hard (of course the other baby did not make a peep!)

It was so great having Courtney here and my kids love her. But then again, do we look alike sometimes or what?

Kristin (aka Kickin the Nanny) with the man of the hour

Ron & Pat (Jonathan's parents), Ethan, Jono, me, Drew and Courtney. Lucky we ran into our neighbors, the Schmidts on the way into the church as they took this photo for us.

All my boys....aren't they handsome? When I see pictures and think of my life, I wonder how Daisy and I will survive all the testosterone!

Thanks, Courtney for making the trip, spending time with us, watching the kids so we could have date night! I miss you and wish you and your family were closer.

My boys - March 7, 2009

E is just a few weeks shy of 2 and Drew is almost 10 weeks old. They are the best!!!

A babysitter hard at work

My sister Courtney, left her three kids to come and help out with mine and meet Drew this past weekend. She was a huge help and the kids loved having her - Jonathan and I had date night and stayed downtown one night which was much fun!!

As you can tell, it looked like VERY hard work watching Drew (ha). :)

Snowy Day - Feb 28th 2009

On Saturday, we had the biggest snowfall of the season (5.2 inches) which is nothing compared to Boston but Ethan wanted to go out and see the SNOW. Dad was out of town and I hate the cold but did bear it for a few minutes.

When we came back inside, Ethan still insisted that he be able to wear his boots (he does have a recent shoe fetish) and I did not hesitate to take the picture with diaper and boots only.

Just another day for the Nanny

Here is Kristin trying to play with Drew and Daisy curling up for some love too.....

The dogs and baby "stuff"

Not sure why they ALWAYS have to lay on Drew's stuff - but this is typical, Buddy in the boppy and Daisy on his blanket.

Is that a smile?

I call Drew the "stingy smiler". He does not give them out often and they are rather hard to capture.
