Happy 6 Months, Drewbie

Wow - time flies. I can't believe my baby is now 6 months old. He can sit up (for a few seconds before toppling over), roll both ways and is eating me out of baby food almost as fast as I can buy it!

Ethan wanted to climb in the crib with Drew this morning after his nap, so I left him. It was so cute watching them interact.

Father's Day - 2009

On Father's Day the boys (and dogs) celebrated their Dad with a little love and presents. Later in the afternoon, we had made plans to go to a minor leaque baseball game (Kansas City T-Bones) - little did we know when we bought the tickets it would be 98 degrees that day. So, we left Drew at Jonathan's parents and took Ethan and it was SO SO hot. Ethan did enjoy it and loved screaming at the players (he is truly from Boston).
We only last a few innings due to the heat (and short attention span) but Ethan did like the car he could climb in on the way out. All in all, it was a pretty good day!! We love you, Daddy!

Scranton, PA - Grandpa's 90th Birthday

I have not finished my text...but wanted to get the pictures up (before I forget!).

We traveled to Scranton, PA for Jonathan's Grandfather (Frank's) 90th birthday party. All his children where present as well as several grandkids AND great-grandkids.

My Little Cuties

Ethan is starting to take more interest in Drew now that he can interact a little bit. He will ask "where Drew" if he is not with us or tell me if he is crying.

5 Months and (still) growing

A Busy Memorial Weekend - 2009

On Friday night, we went to dinner with Ron and Pat. The kids were great at dinner so Ethan shared some ice cream (a 3 generation ice cream pic!) with his Daddy and Poppy.

Winding down for bed, Ethan will always chose to sit next to Poppy! On Saturday, we had a birthday party at an glow in the dark mini-golf place. Ethan thought it was much fun - screaming "I DID IT" when he pushed the ball in the hole. Unfortunately, he looked more Happy Gilmore than Tiger Woods - but hey, it is early still.

On Sunday we were zoo bound. Certainly not the San Diego Zoo, but Ethan LOVED the train and we all thought the kangeroos out and open in a clearing (not fenced in) were really cool.

Random Pics - May 2009

Ethan loved the fruit "net", and Drew got to try it out with some banana which he thought was fabulous but was not that great at holding it.

Sometimes I see Ethan, and I wonder who this toddler/big boy is!!

My smiler - he is much less stingy with the smiles these days and his laugh is completely infectious.

Mother's Day 2009

My parents were here, so we went to brunch which unfortunately was not all that fun as we were cramped and the two year old was not on his best behavior. I did get a few pictures, followed by a day of not good children. I think I might need a make-up Mother's Day later this summer when everyone wants to behave and act like perfect kids (ha!).

Mimi and Poppa visit for Mother's Day

My parents were supposed to come for a visit in April, but due to back problems for my Mom they postponed until Mother's Day weekend. We were so looking forward to them visiting and Ethan could not stop talking about Poppa and Mimi and they did not dissapoint. Ethan got a present each day and played whatever he wanted non-stop with my parents. I guess that is what Grandparents do and why kids love them so much!!

Drew was not really cooperating for the picture, but that is ok b/c I think for once both Mom's and Dad's eyes are open!

Ethan with the beloved Mimi and Poppa...

On Saturday night we had a sitter and went downtown KC to dinner. We enjoyed the food (although it may have been tad slow and cold) but most of all the company. Thanks for a great visit and please come back again soon.

Our Little "Hugh"

Ethan has a fluffy bright red "Thomas" robe that he insists on wearing when he gets out of the tube. He wanders around the house for hours and I joke he looks just like a mini Hugh Hefner. Funny thing, Jonathan's mom brought over a bag of stuff and in it is an almost identical robe/same color and size with the initials JLB on it - so now at least that helps to explain it....

More First Bites

The kid likes to eat...in fact the first time he turned down a spoonful of food was yesterday (June 3rd) after eating solids for a month. He gets so excited too - and hardly any spills out of his mouth these days. Eats just like a professional and makes his Mom proud!
