Bachelorette Weekend - New Orleans

New Orleans got a bit warmer when the 10 of us invaded to celebrate the end of my single days.

Courtney, Jill, Hollie, Gina, Amy, Leslee, Kristin, Kristen and Colleen and me makes the 10. Night one was pretty low key as everyone arrived in at different times and a thunderstorm delayed Amy and Gina. Thankfully, the weather was great the rest of the weekend and we were able to walk the city and enjoy the sights and that lovely smell of beer/urine/vomit that hits you on a warm day in the French Quarter. During the day on Saturday, we took in some sights, shopping, eating, laying by the pool, etc. Our big night out was on Saturday, and we had reservations at The Palace Cafe. The food was excellent and the company - my very favorite. I couldn't help but look around and feel a tug at my heart for being so blessed for the friendships at this table. In fact, some guy a couple tables over ended up buying the whole table champagne because he said whatever it was that brought us there was something an outsider could just tell was special.

A thank you to those that announced it was my party and found the sleeziest guy that took me on the dance floor. My favorite pictures show me removing his hands from me, and finally Courtney decided to join in b/c she said it was painful to even watch anymore. However, the Evis', I did enjoy....

Our last stop lasted until about 4 am. We were very busy trying to claim the stage with the band - and I do think this weekend pretty much proved that 10 cute girls together can get about anything they want.

Most of the girls had early flights home, they say that Courtney was the funniest thing on the way to the airport - I think she did not sleep off any of it. Colleen, Amy, Kristin and I relaxed and had breakfast at where else, Cafe Du Monde before heading to the airport.

It was a fabulous weekend, and I don't remember being sad to give up my single days - but I was sad to see everyone go back to their respective homes and anticipating the next time we can all be together again.
